lesson learned

I live in a great neighborhood near downtown Orlando with lots of cool places to eat/shop and with beautiful scenery so that I can run and bike.  On my days off, I can almost always be found wandering around my hood.  I have been here for about 3 years without a single problem...  and I always say, "This is College Park! Nothing happens here."  Well... some punk proved me wrong.  As I was getting ready to head into work this past Sunday, I noticed glass on the ground around my car.  Apparently some jerk smashed in one of my windows and went searching through my makeup kit!  Thankfully, nothing was taken but YIKES!  I am very lucky my kit was not stolen.  I can remember discussing why it's NEVER a good idea to leave one's makeup kit in the car... heat, theft, etc...  I am typically very good about taking my kit inside and anal about caring for all my products.  BUT, in my defense, I had worked a very long day Saturday between a large wedding plus closing at MAC.  I was so exhausted, I thought to myself, "I'll just wait until the morning to get my kit."  So there I am... standing in front of my car... feeling like a real idiot because #1: my car was burglarized and #2: my kit was almost stolen.  Well, lesson learned my friend.  LESSON LEARNED!
